Monona Grove district is an urban fringe of Madison, yet is its own school district and is growing, the high school enrollment is approaching 1000 students. It combines the areas od Monona and Cottage Grove.

There are several schools included in this district, the staple is Monona Grove High School right on the main drag, Monona Rd there is also an "alternative school". Winnequah Middle School has excellent ranking and currently houses grades 6-8. Glacial Drumlin is the newest addition to the district and will begin enrolling in 2008-09. Cottage Grove school, Maywood School, and Taylor Prairie complete the district.
